Peter Kazaras shaped Don Giovanni with a strong sense of visual structure and dramatic clarity, grounding the opera’s shifting tones in precise character relationships and clear staging. His direction emphasized contrast—balancing comedy and menace—while maintaining forward momentum and cohesion across the ensemble. With a controlled and detail-oriented approach, Kazaras created a theatrical world that supported both the intimacy of individual moments and the scale of the opera’s larger dramatic arc.
“He really makes you think about why you’re doing everything onstage.”
