… is an internationally acclaimed stage director, educator, and operatic tenor whose career spans the world’s leading opera houses and training institutions. From 2007 to 2024 he served as the inaugural director of Opera UCLA, and from 2016 to 2021 he held the Susan G. and Mitchel D. Covel, M.D., Chair at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. He previously led the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program as Artistic Director from 2006 to 2013.
